James Newton Howard's Lesser Known Masterpiece |

This is, in my opinion, one of James Newton Howard's best scores, if not THE best. The music is subtle, brooding, and driven. The scoring is well orchestrated (pun intended), and the entire score combines many elements into a beautiful composition.
The thing that I enjoy personally about this score is the distinct themes that JNH has included here: You can feel what is going on in the movie without ever watching. The deep and brooding machinations of the main title "Visions" set the scene in an imperfect and hectic urban world. The themes for the Villain, Audry/Love, and the subtle yet beautiful Hero theme are masterfully woven together in the following tracks.
This score is a masterpiece, even if you did not like the film. It builds, develops, and creates images in the mind. Absolutely top notch, even for the superb work of James Newton Howard.
