Newman made a very nice score. This is also my all time favorite movie adapted from Stephen King's novella Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption.
The score brings you in the right mood.
Of course the scenes when The Marriage Of Figaro is played and afterwards when Andy came back from the hole says (see my signature and title of this little review) gives a good illustration of survival.
Suds On The Roof is a joy to listen to and like in the scene it brings you in a mood of freedom and hope.
Zihuatanejo is a lovely piece that gives you the wish being elsewhere where life is good and there are no worries.
